Thank you to our amazing partners at United Federal Credit Union and all our wonderful volunteers, staff, and families who made this event so special. It was an unforgettable day of unity and inspiration celebrating our children as the champions that they are!
This Olympic style event is designed around our Rosie kids unique abilities! Whether they are in a wheelchair, have limited mobility, or visual impairment, games are accessible for them. The games aim to create a platform where every child can experience the thrill of sports, celebrate their abilities, and build lasting friendships.

For Children Who Are Medically Fragile And Their Families
Designed to engage and empower the community of families who care for children who are medically fragile.
H.A.V.E.N. is a quarterly event created and hosted by A Rosie Place exclusively for families caring for medically fragile children. This gathering is a relaxed time for families to connect and enjoy one another in an accommodating environment and in community with other families sharing similar experiences and understanding. Connecting with other families experiencing similar situations has been vitally important for our families at A Rosie Place. Although the focus of H.A.V.E.N. is for families to come together and enjoy a time of camaraderie, there is an educational component provided at each event. Special activities are planned for both the child who is medically fragile and their siblings to enjoy.
Even if families do not use other services at A Rosie Place, such as respite, all families who have a child who is medically fragile, are welcome to attend by registering.

-talking to families
-the games for the kiddos
-Watching the kids do things they cannot do anywhere else. Like take pictures with Santa!

What does HAVEN mean to you?
-a place that is familiar and supportive
-chance to meet families out of the hospital
-socialization with other kids
-emotional level for the families
-meeting and being with new families

Why do you come to HAVEN?
-the food!!!
-the opportunity to share with families that are going through what we are going through
-to be with other families that are in the same situation
-because my child likes it here and it’s the only place she can come and not be stared at
-to see our friends
What was your favorite moment at HAVEN in the times you have attended?
-talking and sharing information with other families
-looking at the fish tanks
-face painting
-being able to sit on Santa’s lap
-Christmas because of Santa
-Christmas party, met Santa for 1st time
-Christmas party and meeting Santa
