A Stay Full of Joy Here at A Rosie Place for Children
The past couple of weeks have been a whirlwind at A Rosie Place!
One of the most special things we’ve been celebrating is our Alumni Sleepover program. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of watching many of our children grow up. Some are now over 21 and have officially aged out of our core respite program. But while they may have aged out of eligibility, their need for connection hasn’t disappeared, and neither has their family’s need for respite.
When Care Doesn’t End at 21, and Neither Does Connection
We recognized something important: these young adults still consider A Rosie Place their home away from home. The friendships they’ve built here matter. The routines, relationships, and sense of belonging they’ve found here matter. For caregivers who have spent years, and often decades, providing around-the-clock care, the need for support doesn’t suddenly end on a birthday.
That’s why we created special Alumni Sleepovers designed just for them.
Inside the Blue Moon Lounge
Our most recent Alumni gathering was a Rosie Lounge experience complete with a professional singer, special fizzy drinks, favorite snacks, and plenty of time to relax, laugh, sing along, and reconnect with friends. It was a wonderful evening filled with familiar faces, cherished friendships, and a lot of joy.
Reconnecting at an Alumni Sleepover and returning to a place that has always felt like home matters for our families and guests. These moments remind us that the need for joy, belonging, and support doesn’t end with age. Our Alumni stay was a celebration of lasting friendships, continued care, and the meaningful respite families still deserve. At A Rosie Place, we remain committed to creating a world of YES! This ensures that even as children grow into young adults, they always have a place where they are known, supported, and welcomed back with open arms.
