In the words of the children and families...

Video:  Parents of Medically Fragile Children Speak

What makes us special?

"Everyone here understands what it's like to have a child who is medically fragile. Being different doesn't matter; our family is accepted here."

"My child can't do this anywhere else."

"I'm seeing my child interact and play with other children in a way I've never seen before."

“A Rosie Place brought a peace of mind.”

"I never knew there was a place like this."

A Rosie Place is "warm and inviting”

"A Rosie Place is such an amazing place, I’d love to bring my child back!"

"Words are not enough to express how thankful we are to have found such an amazing place for our sweet boy.  I have had many short breaks from his constant care, but my dear husband had virtually not had a break in 9 years!  We have basically been on our own for a very long time.  We are so thankful for A Rosie Place."

"I love that it gives my child some independence that he doesn’t get much of at home. Your house is huge and he can drive around and see people. AWESOME!"

About Family Support Group

"I have always wanted to see something like this get started. Some will welcome it, some will warm up to it and others will find no need for it.  But for those who are willing, I believe we could have a great support network. If nothing more than to let them know someone who understands is here when you need it. I think we all start out thinking we can do this but quickly realize we can only do so much before we collapse either emotionally or physically. We don't all need the same things. Some just the recognition that others have felt the same feelings, and it's okay, and we're not horrible for thinking them, some guidance."

About A Rosie Place Staff

"The staff were amazing on discharge...They were so kind and understanding."

"…I know my daughter was in good hands.  Thank you, Rosie Place!"

"Not a concern in the world.  I didn't worry about my child's well-being/safety/nurturing.   A beautiful home with beautiful staff."

"Thank you so very much for taking such wonderful care of our child and us!  She really had a wonderful time – as you know.  We felt and feel as if we’re part of your family.  I wanted to write much sooner – but life grabbed us again.  Thanks for the Respite!"

"Only concern was how my child would adapt and respond to the new environment, but she handled it fine, thanks to the care and concern of staff."

"The staff was wonderful and very loving!"

"Thank you for having this available and you have excellent staff!"

"I would like to say thank you to everyone who participated in my child's care this weekend. I was so taken by your love and loyalties to these beautiful children. Thank you again and may blessings continue to fall!!!"
