The impact of art extends far beyond the studio walls. When artwork is produced by a child with chronic medical conditions, it builds confidence in their abilities, demonstrates their value and contribution, gives them a personal sense of accomplishment, and speaks for them in ways they often cannot speak for themselves. It becomes their own, unique expression. We want to showcase that and bring their voice creatively to our community. 💖

We look at children and immediately think about all the things they CAN do! We use their hands, feet, thumbs, and fingertips. The result is a joyful, colorful picture that celebrates who our children are.
Medically fragile children are among the most underserved populations in our communities. They have limited opportunities to engage with other children and often have limited alternative environments that foster their development.

We are thrilled to introduce Mark Waltz as our newest addition to our A Rosie Place for Children family, as our Director of Strategic Initiatives!
For 35 years, Mark’s life and work have been about people. He has trained over 5,000 leaders and volunteers across the country, as well as Canada and the United Kingdom in areas of leadership, team development and guest experiences. He’s mentored and coached staff and volunteer leaders, nurturing leadership growth and personal health.
Mark believes every person has inherent value and worth - period. As a people advocate Mark joins A Rosie Place for Children committed to drive the initiatives and innovations that ensure families throughout Indiana and across the country experience the love, care and fun they deserve.
Mark has been married to his high school sweetheart, Laura, for over 40 years, and today they are still best friends. They are the proud parents of Liv and elated grandparents of Arlo.
